Foundational Evolution Charitable Giving Policy

Context:

Foundational Evolution is committed to creating value for those with a vested interest by supporting the development of subgroups experiencing inequity in the areas where the business operates. Steps are being taken to improve educational equity patterns for all students navigating the education-to-workforce pipeline. Charitable contributions, sponsorships, and support services are an essential part of creating value. We have prioritized three focus areas for community support: (1) empowering special population demographic groups based on the definition of federal, state, and local funding for career technical education (CTE) and career readiness, (2) promoting access and equity in the delivery of education, regardless of geographical location, and (3) building a pathway of success for children of incarcerated and newly released parents.

Scope:

This policy outlines the process for charitable giving at Foundational Evolution and the requirements for organizations receiving support to aid the prioritized focus areas. The policy applies to all business entities within the organization.

Objective:

Foundational Evolution is dedicated to inspiring generational changes and improving the quality of life for families by providing exposure and resources to support the prioritized focus areas. The organization encourages its employees, interns, and volunteers to participate in community engagement and supportive services.

Selection Criteria:

Recipients receiving charitable contributions, sponsorships, or support services must be a faith-based organization, registered community-based organization, or registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Preference is given to organizations with a long-term commitment to support the prioritized focus areas, notable expertise, engagement from those with a vested interest, volunteerism, and transparency.

Exclusion:

Organizations that are not faith-based organizations, registered community-based organizations, or registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are not eligible to receive charitable contributions, sponsorships, or support services from Foundational Evolution. We do not provide services to recipients that discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, sex, socioeconomic status, geographical location, etc. or do not respect human rights.

Request Process:

Please ensure to submit all requests for charitable contributions, sponsorships, and support services from Foundational Evolution through our online application at least 90 days before the donation/event date.

The requesting organization must qualify as a faith-based organization, a registered community-based organization, or a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Other types of organizations are ineligible according to our exclusions policy.

The request form must include the following details:
- Organization name, address, point of contact, and contact information - Mission statement and proof of faith-based, community-based, or 501(c)(3) non-profit organization status (example: Tax ID number, Certificate of Registration, Constitution or by-laws, Recommendation letter from local administration office. - Purpose of the request and how it aligns with support for the prioritized focus areas - The service requested (charitable contribution, sponsorship, or support services)- Program/event details, if applicable (suggested date, location, population being served, expected attendance, etc.)

Additional information:

Submissions are reviewed quarterly by the Foundational Evolution Giving Committee on the following dates: March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st. Decisions will be communicated within 4-6 weeks after each quarterly deadline. If the request is approved, the organization must sign an agreement detailing the terms of the services and provide any additional information requested from Foundational Evolution to ensure the delivery of charitable contributions, sponsorships, or support services. Planning for the requested charitable contribution, sponsorship, or support service will commence once the required documentation (ex. point of contact, photos, metrics, etc.) is received. Requests that do not adhere to this procedure or provide incomplete information will not be considered.

Governance:

Charitable contributions, sponsorships, and support service requests are reviewed quarterly on March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st. The purpose of this review is to enhance management and identify opportunities for eligible recipients who provide services in the three prioritized focus areas. Donors will receive an annual report detailing how their contribution supported these focus areas. The contributions are communicated to encourage engagement from the Foundational Evolution team and those with a vested interest.
